What: We are planting a mix of versatile native plants that will support our local bees, butterflies, and birds
I've worked with Colleen McVeigh to come up with a draft of what plants to include and consulted with the pros at City Grange on how they can help. I'm so excited that they want to be part of this — and that we can support this local business!
A note on the fast-approaching dates: It was either this weekend or the 28th — and Applefest is the weekend of the 28th, so I thought it best to do the 7th! I've been told this process will take about two days, so I'm planning on starting around 10 a.m. and seeing how far we get each day.

Donate plants and supplies
Check out our plant donations sign-up sheet and let us know what you can provide by the end of the day Saturday, Aug. 25 (I know it's tomorrow, but we need enough time to coordinate with City Grange to order what we can't come up with in donations).
Can't join us on planting weekend but still have things to donate? Reply to this email, and we'll set up a time to meet so I can store your contributions in my backyard for a bit.

We'll be excavating what is already there then tilling, adding compost, and getting the new plants settled.
