Kokedama 101 (co-hosted with City Grange)

  • Esquina 4602 North Western Avenue Chicago, IL, 60625 United States (map)

Some of the proceeds from this event’s ticket sales will go to Heart of Lincoln Square!

Start the year off with a new way to display houseplants.

A timeless and unique art form, kokedama is a centuries old Japanese garden practice that places a plant’s roots in a mud ball encased in soft green moss. It can rest on a dish or be suspended by a string. They’re remarkably simple to make, and once you get the hang of it, kokedama will become your favorite relaxing activity!

Class fee includes instruction and all the supplies you’ll need to create two small kokedamas to take home. Must be 21 to participate — this event is BYOB!
